Free consultations as standard
We are pleased to offer free and no obligation initial consultations as standard.
Our solicitors will take time to talk to you to discuss the circumstances that led to your wrist injury in a factory. We will ask you questions about how your accident happened, the severity of your wrist injury, your recovery and who was at fault for the accident.
If we believe your claim has good prospects of success then we will offer to represent you a No Win No Fee basis.
What is a No Win No Fee agreement?
We do not charge our clients any upfront fees to start a new personal injury claim for a wrist injury.
We fund compensation claims using Conditional Fee Agreements. These agreements are commonly referred to as either a “CFA” or a “No Win No Fee agreement”.
The nature of these agreements means that law firms take all the financial risk and not the client. If a claim fails, the law firm is not paid and the client does not have to pay any solicitor’s fees for their time. For taking this risk, it is common for law firms to agree with a client that they will be paid a % of the client’s compensation award at the end of a successful claim.
Our fees are mostly paid by the insurers of the negligent party.

Claim time limits
There are very strict time limits involved in making personal injury claims.
The law in England and Wales states that you have 3 years from the date of an accident to start your claim for compensation. In some cases, where an accident date is not clear such as a repetitive type wrist injury, this claim limit starts from the date you first linked your wrist injury symptoms to your work.
There are some exceptions to this rule but we recommend you contact us as soon as possible to discuss your potential claim.

How much is a wrist injury claim worth?
It is very difficult for us to provide you with an exact claim value before we know the extent of your injuries as every claim is different. A lot will depend on the severity of your injury, whether it has prevented you from working and if you have suffered any financial loss as a result and if you will suffer a loss in the future as a result of not being able to work.
Every claim is different, however compensation awards for personal injury claims are based on a set of national guidelines called the Judicial College Guidelines. These guideline are published for the assessment of general damages in personal injury cases.
The latest set of guidelines (the 15th edition) were published at the end of 2019. Guideline amounts for common work related wrist injuries are as follows:
- Severe wrist injuries that lead to complete loss of function – £44,690 to £56,180
- Severe wrist injury that leads to significant disability but still has useful ability – £22,990 to £36,770
- Serious wrist injuries, such as a fracture, that leads to permanent ongoing pain or problematic symptoms – £11,280 to £22,990
- Wrist fractures and soft tissue injuries where recovery is longer but complete – up to £9,620
- Minor wrist fractures of soft tissue injuries that may require bandages or plaster and full recovery is approximately 3 months – £3,310 to £4,450
*Every wrist injury claim is different and your claim may be worth more or less than these figures quoted. These guidelines are purely used as an estimate.
In addition to compensation for pain and suffering, we are also able to help you claim for “special damages”.
These damages include any loss of past and future earnings, your pensions and medical care. Special damages often make up a very large percentage of the total claim value and in some circumstances can amount to millions of pounds.
